Feminism DOES NOT EQUAL ‘man-haters’, ‘women are better’, ‘feminazis’, etc.
Feminism means realizing we live in a society where men are valued above women, where men make the majority of the decisions.
Feminism is fighting for equal opportunity for ALL genders.
Feminism is not a dirty word.
totally. my mom was a feminazi and that’s totally different than being a feminist. she thought women were superior in every way and the only thing they brought to the table was dick, and then she’d punishing them for having the dick. her favorite pastime was emasculating our stepdad in front of us so we’d all know she was the boss and he was the bitch. i don’t want that. i just want equality. but also some dick. i do love the dick.
although in her defense, she grew up in the rural south, in the 50s, in a family of all boys, where she was basically the servant, and her dad used to physically and sexually abuse her mother and she and her older brother would have to team up to pull him off of her, and then one day she actually threatened to kill him with a knife, and i think she was sort of a backlash to the system in which she was brought up like her bra burning femisisters who all came of age in the early 70s. that’s still no excuse, though. all that does is create an ongoing circle of negative reciprocity and she’s far too intelligent not to know better. you can’t punish men in your present because of what men in your past did. and you can’t hate all men even if every single one you’ve met is basically stupid.
